DRIVING DIRECTIONS
The light rail metro system connects the airport to Esenler. Havas airport buses run to central Istanbul (Taksim Square) and to the bus terminal on demand (journey time: 30 minutes). Services also operate to Akmerkez (Etiler). Taxis or dolmus (shared taxis) are available from the airport (typical fare to the hotel USD 20). City and private buses run services in Istanbul. The suburban train network is old but reliable and inexpensive. There are also several tramlines. Istanbul has a large fleet of yellow taxis, but a cheaper way of getting around the streets is to hire a dolmus (shared taxi or minibus). Ferries and catamarans are a cheap, fun way to get around.
Driving directions: From the airport, take the Highway, following signs for Cevreyolu. Remain on the Highway until Sisli/Kurtulus and exit at Sisli. Follow the signs for Taksim and Harbiye. The hotel is just after the Military Museum in Harbiye, on the left.
